Depending on the version of the Bible the last sentence here might mention pricks are goads. This was a stick with a pointed piece of iron on the tip used to get an oxen moving when plowing.
So it sounds like to me Jesus is saying your just making your life hard by fighting against God.
Some versions of the Bible omit this last sentence because it’s not in some of the older text we have found.
